Rick J. Pickle, CPA, CFPŽ

Rick began his accounting career in 1974 working for a Fortune 500 company. After working in the corporate environment for several years he moved to public accounting. This represented a challenge and opportunity to utilize his education, experience and skills developed to help small businesses and individuals with their financial and tax goals and responsibilities. In 1982 Rick forged out on his own and formed RJ Pickle, CPA, CFPŽ the firm "Big enough to serve you, yet small enough to know you."

As a Certified Public Accountant since 1978 and a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional since 1989, Rick has enjoyed a close relationship with his many clients. His 30 years of experience allows him to advise businesses and individuals in tax and financial planning, business consulting, auditing of FHA non-supervised mortgagees and loan correspondents or companies wishing to become FHA approved, accounting (including QuickBooks applications) and tax preparation and problem resolutions.

Courtney Ware, EA

Courtney joined the firm in July 2001. While serving in many capacities, she has developed knowledge and experience in individual tax preparation, business tax preparation, accounting, payroll, and QuickBooks. Courtney received her Masters degree in August 2004, and became an Enrolled Agent (EA) in early 2008. To become an EA Courtney had to pass a rigorous exam administered by the IRS. As an EA Courtney can represent taxpayers before the IRS just the same as an attorney or CPA.

Teri has been with the firm since inception. A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a major in accounting, Teri contributes her considerable experience with professional employer organizations and QuickBooks accounting to the firm. She also provides her experience -- and much needed help -- preparing individual income tax returns during our busy tax season.
